The European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences, more popularly known as ECCOMAS, is a scientific organisation that connects European associations with interests in the development and applications of computational methods in science and technology. Their main event is the biennial ECCOMAS Congress, which serves to provide a forum for presentation and discussion of state-of-the-art developments in scientific computing applied to engineering sciences.
This year´s ECCOMAS Congress 2022 was held in Oslo, Norway from 5-9 June 2022. NextSim participated by organising a minisymposium titled “Towards Next Generation of Industrial Aerodynamical Simulation Tools” which took place on 8 June at 11:00 to 18:30. This event, convened by NextSim partners Oriol Lehmkuhl (BSC), Eusebio Valero (UPM) and Jordi Pons (CIMNE), gathered 16 presentations that focused on the latest developments in industrial aerodynamical simulation tools.
